I find the old size fits my 6.5" wrist incredibly well, on me it's about as large as I'd ever want to go, but I can see that some with much larger wrists would get the same effect with a larger model as I do with this one.įor me the black dial is very easy to wear and extremely flexible, and the combination of the black dial and the steel bezel makes it one of the most subtle sport Rolex out there. I don't think there's a wrong choice here, it's just personal preference and wrist size.

A greater part of the buying public, however, clearly prefer the other, contemporary steel sports models. After Christmas I reduced all TEN 16570s showing in my stock.while there are a further half dozen in my safes not even publicised. I cannot find enough of the equivalent 16610 Date Submariners or 16710 GMT-Masters, but Exp II 16570s - despite being at a price point perhaps a thousand pounds lower - are pouring in.

Just pulling your leg, 16570 fans.but you can't get away from the general, commercial position with this watch. Can anyone explain why there is a glut on the 2nd hand market if everyone who has had one seems to rate them very highly?Ĭheers!Remember everyone who had Betamax used to say how great it was ? but I think that sourcing an example from the UK if there is availability would be much easier. Thanks to Haywood for the market perspective - I had been looking at examples from the U.S.
